I actually didn't start Paquette as a cake mix brand.

I'm not a pastry chef. I'm not a dedicated home baker. I just wanted to start a business that helped people connect more. 

For years I had 'have people over for dinner more' on my New Years Resolutions. But I never seemed to make it happen.

It wasn't because I didn't want to. I desperately missed the closeness you get from hanging out in person, unhurried, in your own space. The deep conversations, laughing so hard you cry, the dancing in the loungeroom.

So I thought, what would make it just a little bit easier to have people over more? And that's how I came up with Paquette!
